Name: Susan Estephan of Alpharetta, Georgia formerly of Easton, PA passed away Tuesday June 2, 2009 in Northside Forsyth Hospital, Cumming, GA

Born: She was born on January 8, 1921 in Easton, PA a daughter of the late Michael and Anna “Anise” Elias Solomon.

Personal: Susan and her husband Tannous Estephan celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary last October. She was a 1939 graduate of Easton High School. She retired from Avante, Inc. Susan was very involved in the Democratic Party working as a poll worker for many years. She loved to help people, especially the Lebanese immigrants. She served as their interpreter in many ways, helping them to establish themselves in living in their community. She filled out their paperwork, directed them to the right agencies and did their taxes for them. Susan enjoyed taking long walks and going to the senior bus trips to Atlantic City. She had an infectious smile and she lit up a room when she entered it.

Memberships: Susan was a very religious women and a former member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton

Survivors: She cherished her family and always put them first. Her family loved and adored her very much. Susan is survived by daughters Anise Bailey and her husband Stephen of Alpharetta, GA with whom she resided, Matilda Pokrivchak and her husband John of Lopatcong Twp., NJ, Catherine Siskas and her husband Konstandinos of East Rutherford, NJ and a son Jabbour Estephan and his wife Cheryl of Allentown, PA. Susan is also survived by grandchildren Krista Reffler and her husband Thomas of Palmer Twp., Nicholas Pokrivchak and his wife Alison of Bethlehem, PA, Stavros Siskas of East Rutherford, NJ; many nieces, nephews and cousins Anthony Solomon, John Solomon, Donald Solomon and an Aunt Mary Karam of Australia. Susan was preceded in death by a brother Michael Jr., a sister Selma, an Uncle Joseph Solomon and cousins, Samuel Solomon and Jean Azar.

Services: Calling hours will be held Sunday from 7:00pm until 9:00pm with Prayer of the Incense at 8:00pm and Monday morning from 8:15am until 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday at 10:00am in Our Lady of Lebanon Church, 4th and Ferry Streets in Easton. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
