Carol Ann (George) Marinetti, 65 formerly of Wilkes Barre, PA passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 in St. Luke’s VNA Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA. Carol fought a heroic battle with cancer for the past 6 years until our Saviour called her. Carol was surrounded by family at the time of her calling.

Born:  She was born on April 14, 1944 in Wilkes Barre, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Isaac George.

Personal: Carol and her husband Ralph J. Marinetti celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on April 15, 2009. She was a graduate of GAR High School in Wilkes Barre. During their marriage she was employed as a part-time administrative assistant in the Easton Area School District, Sherman Williams Paint Store and the Cook Insurance Agency where she retired from in 2006.

Memberships: She was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Palmer Twp and Our lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Easton.

Survivors:  In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by daughters Carlotta Marinetti of Baltimore, MD, Jill Marinetti of Miami, FL and grandchildren Gabrielle, Drew and Victoria Williams. She is also survived by sisters Mae George, Margie Volavic, Lilia Yenchak, Josephine Fleugal all of Wilkes Barre; brothers Anthony George of Wilkes Barre, Francis George of Radnor, PA and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, a sister Kay Piepich and a brother George George preceded Carol in death.

Services:  Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2:00pm until 5:00pm with Prayer of the Incense at 4:00pm and Monday from 8:15am until 9:15am in the Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Palmer Twp. A Divine Liturgy will be held Monday at 10:00am in Our Lady of Lebanon Church, 4th and Ferry Streets in Easton. Entombment will be held on Tuesday in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville, PA.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 200 Bethlehem, PA  18017 in memory of Carol.
